Yarra River

The Yarra River is one of the most beautiful landmarks in Victoria.
The Yarra River is natural landmark found by the aboriginals 30,000 years ago.
It is located in Melbourne, Australia.

To the Wurundjeri people ( aboriginal ), the Yarra River means ' river of the mists and shadows ' which is called the Birrarung.

The Europeans were the second people to discover the Yarra River.
They renamed it after they had settled in Australia.
Charles Grimes held a party with a group of Europeans at the Yarra River.

In modern life, there are rides around the Yarra River so people can go on a cruise for a price. The landscape of the river has absolutely changed since 1835.

There is a festival called Moomba which celebrates the many cultures in Melbourne.
This landmark is very beautiful when it is seen at night.
